SHAH ALAM: Selangor Police Commander Comm Datuk Noor Azam Jamaludin has retired and his Deputy Commissioner Datuk Arjunaidi has taken over as Acting Police Chief.

“I am looking forward to a long break,” said Commissioner Noor Azam after handing over duties to DCP Arjunaidi Mohamed at the Selangor police headquarters on Monday (December 14).

Communicator Noor Azam said she just wanted to spend time at home with her family, especially her grandchildren.

“I gave everything to the police. I have no regrets.

“Wherever they sent me, be it Sabah, Perak or Negri Sembilan, I went and did the best I could.

“Now that I have time for myself, maybe I’ll grab a musical instrument. Maybe the guitar or the ukulele,” he said with a laugh.

He said that as head of Selangor, he has overseen several high-profile cases.

“From crime cases to water pollution problems, we have had many cases of national interest here,” he said, adding that he was confident that DCP Arjunaidi could keep the fort.
