KLANG: The Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah has conveyed its concern about the increase in new cases of Covid-19 in the country, especially in Selangor.

Concerned that people are lax and careless, His Highness once again urges everyone to be cautious and not neglect to adhere to the standard operating procedures established by the government.

“This includes maintaining a physical distance of at least one meter in public places, always wearing face masks when outside the house, as well as using hand sanitizers and observing personal hygiene,” the ruler said in a statement on Friday (2 October).

The statement added that the Ruler urged people who have symptoms or who have just returned from high-risk areas to immediately undergo a test at the hospital and comply with the mandatory quarantine order.

The Ruler also specially recommended to the people of Selangor to stay at home and not go out to crowded places or public places if not necessary.

“According to the latest statistics, the districts of Selangor that have again registered positive cases of Covid-19 are Hulu Selangor, Klang, Gombak, Petaling, Hulu Langat and Sepang,” the statement added.

Given the worrying development, Sultan Sharafuddin sternly reminded that all people, from all walks of life, must play a role in breaking the chain of Covid-19 infection.
