KUALA BERANG: Police arrested a high school principal in Hulu Terengganu in connection with several cases of sexual abuse and harassment after female cleaners filed police complaints.

The 52-year-old suspect was arrested at his home in Kuala Nerus at 11 p.m. on Monday after four women who worked at the school filed police complaints on March 8 and 9 about the alleged incidents, which allegedly occurred during the first two months of the year. .

Sources said the four women alleged that an individual had sexually abused them on the school premises and also sexually harassed them by sending offensive messages via WhatsApp.

Hulu Terengganu District Police Chief Mohd Adli Mat Daud, when contacted today, said that the police had obtained a warrant to detain the suspect for four days starting yesterday.
