SBS has released a statement regarding the reason why Red Velvet’s performances were not included in the channel’s broadcast of the 2020 Gangnam Festival K-Pop concert.

The 2020 Gangnam Festival K-Pop concert took place on October 18 and was streamed live online. The lineup included Kang Daniel, ASTRO, AB6IX, Oh My Girl, and Red Velvet. Red Velvet took the stage as the final performers of the night and performed their hits “Psycho,” “Bad Boy,” and “Umpah Umpah.”

On November 1, SBS broadcast the concert on its television channel, but none of Red Velvet’s performances were included in the broadcast. This led some to speculate that it could be due to the recent events surrounding Irene’s behavior.

The next day, a source from SBS told Star News: “Not enough time was allocated for the broadcast compared to the actual duration of the concert. The total length of the concert had to be shortened during the editing process. We ask for your understanding ”.
