KUALA LUMPUR (November 16): Sapura Energy Bhd’s drilling and engineering and construction (E&C) and drilling segments have secured a total of RM611 million in contracts in Qatar, the Republic of Congo, and in Malaysia and Thailand.

The Sapura unit will provide engineering, procurement, construction, transportation and installation, connection and commissioning of the Contaminated Terminations and Anchors Modification work for the Andalas Pipeline Additional Project for the fourth phase of the MTJDA of Carigali-PTTEPI Operating Company Sdn Bhd .

The scope of work under the contract includes engineering, procurement, onshore construction, shipping and ocean chartering, as well as offshore connection and commissioning of Host Tie-In and Brownfield Modification at Jengka-A Wellhead Platform, Andalas-B Wellhead Platform and MUDA Central Processing Platform and MUDA Central Processing Platforms.

Works for this project are expected to be completed by 3QFY22.

Meanwhile, the drilling unit Sapura Drilling Holdings Ltd received a contract from Total Exploration and Production Congo to provide drilling services through the Tender Assist “Sapura Berani” drilling rig.

The drilling rig will be applied to three wells starting in 4TFY21 for three months at the offshore site, with the option to extend it by one well.
