In addition to the Samsung Galaxy S21 and S21 +, high-resolution renders of the Galaxy S21 Ultra have also been revealed ahead of its official launch thanks to @evleaks. This is the tallest model in the flagship Galaxy S21 series and has a sophisticated quad-camera array.
At the moment, the S21 Ultra seems to come in two colors: silver and black. For the premium price tag, the device still uses a glass back, but it doesn’t appear to have the same color options as the S21 and S21 +. Being an “Ultra” device, the rear has a great camera bump that has 5 cuts and an LED flash. If you look closely, you will find four camera lenses and an additional sensor that is probably used for laser autofocus.
It was previously speculated that the S21 Ultra will have a 108MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle shooter, a 10MP periscope telephoto camera with 10X zoom, and another 10MP telephoto camera that can zoom 3x.
While the renders show slight curvature at the edges of the screen, it appears almost completely flat. According to Roland Quandt, the S21 Ultra will feature a 6.8 “screen, which is slightly smaller than the 6.9” Galaxy S20 Ultra, but is said to retain a similar phone size.
Like its predecessor, the flagship device will use an AMOLED display and can likely drive a Quad HD + resolution. The device is also expected to push a maximum screen refresh rate of 120Hz, but it’s unclear if it’s still limited to Full HD + resolution.
We do not yet have the full details of its internal hardware specifications. Based on the number of leaks that have surfaced online, it would only be a matter of time before everything you need to know is revealed. Samsung is expected to launch the new Galaxy S series very soon and is speculated to launch on January 14, 2021.
Like Apple, Samsung is expected to ditch the Galaxy S21 charger and headphones as well. If you do not currently have a PD USB-C charger, you will need to purchase one separately. The Samsung Super Fast Charge 25W Power Adapter is priced at RM129 with a USB-C to USB-C cable, while the USB-C wired headphones currently cost RM99.
