If the above reports are accurate, we are just months away from the official reveal from Samsung’s new flagship series, the Galaxy S21. As is customary with most upcoming releases, leaks detailing the design or specifications of various products are expected to appear online not long before.

About a month after the design of the S21 series were leaked, the supposed specs of all its models have now been laid out for all to see. This information is presented by none other than XDA’s Max Weinbach, who previously leaked the phone’s predecessor: the Galaxy S20 series.
According to Weinbach, the Samsung Galaxy S21 will consist of three family models: a standard model, Plus and Ultra. It also claims that the designs previously leaked by OnLeaks are accurate to some extent, where the phone is shown to have a new rear camera design. Furthermore, the XDA writer also says that the Galaxy S21 Ultra model features support for Samsung’s S-Pen accessory, such as originally targeted posted by fellow leakers Max Jambor and Ice Universe last week.
As for the chipset, and to no one’s surprise, it is said that the company may be outfitting the new flagship series with two different processors depending on the region. These are Samsung’s Snapdragon 875 or Exynos 2100 SoCs, which Weinbach noted as having performance that is “on par or better” than the Qualcomm chip. This remains to be seen when both chipsets make their eventual debut, of course.
Moving on, both the standard Galaxy S21 and its Plus variant can feature FHD + 120hz displays, with the former sporting a 6.2-inch screen and the latter sporting a 6.7-inch one. The leaker claims that the best display is reserved for the Ultra variant, where it features a 6.8-inch WQHD + display with advanced adaptive upgrade LTPO panels.
Unfortunately, Weinbach did not list the expected RAM and storage capacity for all Galaxy S21 models. When it comes to battery specs, on the other hand, that standard variant is said to be able to feature a 4,000mAh battery, the 4,800mAh Plus, and the 5,000mAh Ultra. All three also include fast charging support of 25W minimum.
In terms of optics, the Standard and Plus versions of the Galaxy S21 feature the same camera arrays as their predecessors. Specifically, both models are equipped with a 12MP main sensor, 64MP telephoto and 12MP ultrawide sensor. While that may sound unimpressive, it is very likely that Samsung has several new camera features to go along with them.
Meanwhile, the Ultra model is said to receive a major upgrade compared to the Galaxy S20 version. Weinbach says that the new high-end flagship may feature an improved 108MP main sensor, 12MP ultrawide, and two telephoto sensors: one with 3x optical zoom and the other capable of up to 10x optical. The sources also added that Samsung will revive the 100X Spatial Zoom capability through the latest telephoto lens with better pixel resolution. To further enhance its photography and video capabilities, the Ultra model will feature laser autofocus.
As is usual with every leak and rumor, we highly recommend our readers to take all of the above information with a grain of salt. With that said, we’ll eventually find out more details about Samsung’s latest flagship soon enough when the company decides to officially announce them. Hopefully in the very near future.
