KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor (Photo) He says he doesn’t have a Facebook (FB) account, either with his name or any other name.
In a statement, he said that he learned that someone opened an FB account under the name YAB Dato ‘Seri Paglima Hajiji Noor.
He said that he has never given anyone permission to start the page.
“To begin with, even the title and name on the FB account are wrong,” Hajiji said in a statement on Friday (October 9).
It should be Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor, he said.
He said that while the intention of the person behind the FB account may be good, but without any penalties, some of their posts may mislead the public.
“Therefore, it is expected to stop. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the advertisers and newspaper supporters since I took office on September 29, ”Hajiji said.
“However, as we rejoice and celebrate, we must not forget the less fortunate, especially at this time of Covid-19, and focus our time and energy on putting the economy back on the right track,” he said.
