IPOH: An uproar broke out at the 19th Perak DAP state convention when Kampar MP Thomas Su alleged that others were gaining an unfair advantage for the party’s state elections on Sunday (March 14).

Su was seen in a heated discussion with Tanah Rata Assemblyman Chiong Yoke Kong, the returning election official.

He stated that the registration of delegates was not being carried out fairly, as the deadline was supposed to be between 9am and 10am, but it passed that time.

He also claimed that they were denied access to the attendance list.

Su and his group, which includes Ipoh Barat MP Kulasegaran and Pasir Bedamar Assemblyman Terence Naidu, will face the current committee led by President Nga Kor Ming.

Furthermore, Terence claimed that he had not been invited to the party’s state committee meetings despite being a member of the committee.

“I have tried to ask the party secretary but he was ignored,” he said, adding that this could lead to “other bad practices.”

When approached, Nga, who is a Teluk Intan MP and Aulong Assemblyman, declined to comment.
