Roy Hodgson says his Crystal Palace team is “humiliated” by their 7-0 loss to Liverpool.
The Reds rampaged at Selhurst Park as they recorded Jurgen Klopp’s biggest career victory in the Premier League, six points clear at the top.
Two goals were each scored by Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah, while Sadio Mane, Takumi Minamino and captain Jordan Henderson were also scored on the scoresheet.
Palace boss Hodgson said he couldn’t find anything positive in a hugely demoralizing loss at home to the champions yesterday.
“There is nothing positive I can say,” he said. “We are humiliated by the result, of that there is no doubt. We take it very, very badly.
“Most of us in the locker room haven’t been to the end of a 7-0 loss before, it’s a new experience and frankly, sitting here in front of you now, I can’t think of anything positive at all.”
He added: “I’m still sitting here trying to accept the fact that we just got beaten 7-0 at home, albeit by a very good team.

“It doesn’t change the fact that it’s my first 7-0 loss and that’s the same for a lot of people in that locker room.
“We will go through a day or two of mourning at least and that will prevent me from having too many positive things to say.
“With 1-0 down you give yourself an early mountain to climb and the third goal just makes it worse.

“I know one thing, fans or non-fans, when you go down 3-0 at halftime against Liverpool in a game where, frankly, they haven’t been bombarding your goal or invading your penalty area.
“But you know when you go down 3-0 with the way they play the clinical finish, the speed of the counterattacks, you know this could be dangerous.”
Liverpool will spend Christmas at the top before returning to action at home to West Brom on December 27.
