Mohamaddin Ketapi says that Warisan’s opponents will use various tactics to prevent their supporters from voting.

PETALING JAYA: Former Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Mohamaddin Ketapi claims that Warisan opponents will resort to people falsifying the Covid-19 hiring as part of their ploy to keep voters out of Saturday’s state elections.

Mohamaddin, who is the deputy for Lahad Datu, is Warisan’s candidate for Segama, one of 13 new state seats in Sabah.

During an election campaign speech yesterday, Mohamaddin said that the tactics Warisan’s opponents are expected to use include paying people to “faint” at polling stations after allegedly contracting Covid-19.

“Supposedly, on Election Day, they will ask people to pass out because they have Covid-19,” Mohamaddin said in a video posted on his Facebook page.

“The ambulance will come to take them and people will run because they are afraid.

“The next thing you know, they paid people to pretend.

“Our Malaysian people are not so scared, but the Chinese are. Many of them (Chinese) support us, almost all of them. They are sensitive (and) if you say that there are people who pass out due to Covid-19, many will flee.

“It is not Covid-19, it is their act. His drama. “
