When Sony first revealed the PlayStation 5, we expected it to be a very large console. You’ve probably seen some estimated size comparisons yourself, showing that the next-gen Sony console towers over its predecessors and competition. Now, the official measurements of the console are available, showing what kind of giant we will face.

The images of the PS5 being measured come from the National Communications Commission of Taiwan. The commission has released a series of images showing the standard PS5 in a horizontal position, from virtually every angle.
For context, the exact measurements of the PS5 are 390 x 260 x 104mm, according to Sony figures. While having the numbers to work with is one thing, seeing how the console is measured provides a more accurate perspective of its size.
If you don’t have a lot of space to work at home, you may need to start planning where you want to put the PS5. Unsurprisingly, it’s not just about the size of the console, but also its uneven design.
But in any case, we still don’t know what its price will be. Based on Sony’s previous announcement, we should have the console on our shores on November 19.
