KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): Various road block locations across the country will move to more strategic positions, says Police Inspector General Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador.

He said this was due to the conditional movement control order (MCO), which was announced by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin on Friday (May 1).

“Some of these obstacles will be moved to more strategic locations, including to verify the entry of illegal immigrants,” he briefly told Bernama.

Abdul Hamid said that more monitoring teams will be formed to ensure public compliance with social distancing.

Prior to this, Muhyiddin, in a special message in conjunction with today’s Labor Day, said that a large part of economic and social activities would be allowed starting Monday (May 4).

However, he said they were subject to the standard operating conditions and procedures that had been established.

Among others, he said that restaurants can operate by observing the commercial SOP.

Outdoor sports activities, such as playing badminton or tennis outdoors with no audience, jogging, biking, golfing and running, comprising no more than 10 people, are allowed if social distancing is practiced, he added. . – Bernama
