Police track suspects involved in attempted murder in Bandar Kinrara

SERDANG: A man was shot by unknown assailants in a house in Bandar Kinrara here.

News of the incident circulated on social media and WhatsApp, warning people to be cautious.

According to a post by Facebook user Taqiyudin Yusof, the incident occurred on Monday (September 21) afternoon.

He stated in his post that the victim had just parked his car in front of the house and was about to enter when someone following him on a motorcycle shot him.

Serdang OCPD Asst Comm Ismadi Borhan said police were alerted to the incident around 12:45 pm.

“We received information that a man was shot outside a house along Jalan BK 5/3, here Bandar Kinrara.

“Investigations revealed that the 35-year-old victim sustained injuries to his left ribs believed to have been caused by a gunshot,” he said in a statement.

He said the victim is in stable condition and was receiving medical treatment at a hospital.

“The forensic unit from the Selangor police headquarters was dispatched to the scene to assist in the investigations.

“Investigations are ongoing and we have identified the suspects involved.

“Operations are underway to locate and arrest the suspects,” he said, adding that the case has been classified as an attempted murder.
