PUTRAJAYA (Bernama): Police recorded statements by graphic designer Mohd Fahmi Reza Mohd Zarin at Putrajaya District Police Headquarters (IPD) here on Wednesday (March 10) regarding two cartoon posts on the Twitter account @ kuasasiswa.
Putrajaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Fadzil Ali, confirming the matter to the media, said that the case was being investigated under Section 500 of the Penal Code and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act of 1998.
Fahmi Reza, when meeting outside the Putrajaya IPD after the two-hour session, told reporters that the investigation was carried out on her two cartoon posts dated October 3 last year and February 15.
“I am here to explain to the police the meaning of the works of art, their purpose, who they are directed to and other people,” he said, adding that he would not withdraw the publications and would continue to produce works of art.
Fahmi Reza, who was accompanied by attorneys Yohendra Nadarajan and Rajsurian Pillai, said he was willing to provide full cooperation to the police and would be present if he was called again. – Bernama
