SHAH ALAM: Following a viral video alleging child abuse and neglect, police will record statements from the child’s parents and others who made the video, says Deputy Shah Alam OCPD, Superintendent Ramsay Embol.

In a statement on Sunday (January 10), Superintendent Ramsay said the nine-year-old girl in the video was found with a bag of clothes near Setia Taipan, Setia Alam.

They then took her to the Setia Alam police station.

“No signs of abuse were found on the girl, and her parents came to pick her up the same day they found her on Saturday (January 9), around 6.45 pm,” he said.

He said the girl’s parents will make a police report on the video and that the police will record statements from all sides.

“The people who recorded the video will also be called in to give their statements to assist in our investigations,” he said.

On Sunday, a video was uploaded online that showed the girl telling people who recorded the video about her alleged neglect and abuse by her parents.

It was also alleged that he was trying to find his grandmother’s house when they found it.
