MUAR (Bernama): Police have confirmed receiving a report about a road rage incident that took place in Pekan Parit Jawa here on Monday (March 15).
Muar OCPD Asst Comm Zaharudin Rasip said investigations found that the incident, around 3.25 p.m. Monday, involved a 26-year-old woman who was attacked by a 25-year-old suspect.
“The incident is believed to have been due to a misunderstanding between the two parties that led the suspect to act aggressively.
“The suspect was said to have smashed the right side mirror of the victim’s car, struck the windshield and caused damage to the hood with his helmet,” he said in a statement here on Tuesday (March 16).
A video of the incident has been circulating on social media since Monday.
Zaharudin said preliminary investigations found that the suspect suffered from a mental disorder and was still in treatment, adding that the case was being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code. – Bernama
