A 10-second video clip showing a woman throwing a child into a classroom was widely shared.

PETALING JAYA: Police are investigating a teacher for child abuse after a video clip was widely shared showing a woman throwing a child into a classroom.

In the 10-second video clip, the woman is seen picking up a child before throwing him to the ground in front of a group of surprised children.

The incident is believed to have occurred at a daycare center in Klang, and the teacher is believed to have been suspended since.

Shah Alam Police Chief Baharudin Mat Taib confirmed that the parents submitted a police report and that the case is under investigation, Astro Awani reported.

Baharudin added that the woman was brought in for questioning after the girl’s parents submitted the report.

Child abuse is a crime under the Juvenile Law punishable by a fine of up to RM 20,000 or 10 years in prison or both.
