Police announce latest round of transfers and promotions as part of their senior police officer rotation

PETALING JAYA: Police have announced a series of promotions and transfers involving senior officers based at the federal police headquarters in Bukit Aman and various states.

It is believed to be part of the ongoing rotation of senior police officers recently mentioned by Inspector General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador, with more than 20 other transfers announced earlier this month.

In a statement, the police chief of corporate communications, Asmawati Ahmad, said that starting on December 28, 10 senior police officers will fill new positions.

The most prominent transfer is that of Bukit Aman, Inspector General of Police (Secretariat) (Research and Development), Chief Ibrahim Saad, who will move to the Ministry of the Interior to assume the position of Deputy Director General of the Border Security Agency.

Another transfer involves the head of the Kuala Lumpur Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Nik Ros Azhan Nik Ab Hamid, who will be appointed Chief of Staff of the Eastern Sabah Security Command (Esscom) (Technical Team / Special Investigation).

“Nik Ros Azhan will be replaced by the Deputy Director (Intelligence / Operations) of the Intelligence / Operations / Registration Division (D4) of Bukit Aman CID (Intelligence / Operations) ACP Saiful Annuar Yusoff with the rank of Acting Senior Assistant Commissioner (SAC) Asmawati said.

Another move outside of Bukit Aman involves Special Brigade E8F staff officer Shariman Ashari, who has been appointed Langkawi District Police Chief with the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police (ACP).

Within the headquarters of the federal police, two more internal transfers are taking place: that of the deputy director of the Secretariat of the management department, Mohd Shukri Ismail, who will be appointed deputy director of the Secretariat of the department of logistics and technology of Bukit Aman (Technology).

According to Asmawati, the personnel officer of Bukit Aman’s logistics and technology department (Finance / Procurement / General Surveillance), Supt Rose Baini Kasim, will take over from Shukri, with the rank of acting ACP.

From other states, Batu Pahat district police chief Azhan Abdul Halim will move to the federal police headquarters to take up his new position as SAC (Intelligence / Special Investigation) in the Special Operations department of internal security and public order, with the rank of interim SAC. .

Meanwhile, Seri Alam District Police Chief Superintendent Ismail Dollah will be appointed Batu Pahat District Police Chief, with the rank of Acting ACP.

Also involved in the move is the deputy commander of Pulapol Langkawi, Mohd Junaidi Mat Akhir, who has been appointed commander in Pulapol, Kedah with the rank of acting ACP.

Others involved are Gua Musang District Police Chief Mohd Taufik Maidin, who will be appointed Chief of Kedah Narcotics CID with the rank of Acting ACP.
