SHAH ALAM: Thirteen of the 400 residents who were not counted in the improved MCO area at Medan 88, Salak Tinggi were working and did not flee the area.

Selangor’s deputy police chief, Deputy Commissioner Datuk Arjunaidi Mohamed, said the 13 had come forward and been examined by the Health Ministry.

“The 13 residents whose whereabouts were missing did not flee the area.

“Most of the residents work shifts, so not everyone was at home when the enhanced MCO was enforced,” he told a news conference at Selangor police headquarters on Friday (November 13).

DCP Arjunaidi urged the disappeared to come forward as soon as possible so that they can go to the necessary tests.

“Employers who know if their workers are among the residents involved should also cooperate,” he added.

Approximately 400 residents of Medan 88 were reported not at home when police cordoned off the area.

The improved MCO in Medan 88 from November 12-25 involves 88 business locations, 284 locations and 800 residents.
