PETALING JAYA: PKR Youth agreed to resolve any differences they may have between them, after screenshots of a private discussion between their leaders on WhatsApp went viral.

PKR Youth state leaders have called for calm and allow enough space for party leaders to clarify the matter.

“We acknowledge that a private discussion was leaked between PKR youth leaders and believe that this matter should be handled conscientiously through internal party channels.

“We also believe that this matter can be harmoniously resolved at the PKR Youth Leadership Council meeting, which will involve national and state leaders,” the group said in a statement.

The statement was signed by all PKR Youth state leaders, including its Selangor director, Mohd Najwan Halimi.

The group also pledged its confidence in the leadership of PKR President Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, adding that there was no solid reason to question his loyalty to party leaders.

“There is no basis to dispute our loyalty to party leaders, especially as we are continuously committed to upholding our principles and idealisms so that they are not betrayed,” the group said as it called for solidarity among members to stand up and stand. become the strongest wing in the party.

The group also dismissed any accusations of deliberately starting a fight between party members and also criticized the act of exposing the group’s private discussions that had caused discord among the members.

On Saturday (December 13), it was reported that several screenshots of a conversation believed to have taken place between PKR Youth chief Akmal Nasir and several other PKR Youth leaders had been leaked.

The group is believed to have made disparaging comments about Anwar.

A separate statement on the matter, which criticized the closed conversation as “exaggerated” and stated that those who insulted Anwar “cannot be accepted”, also went viral.

However, the statement, which was allegedly issued by Najwan, turned out to be false, as Selangor PKR Youth explained that it did not reflect Najwan’s position on the matter.
