Can you believe that it has been more than two months since most of us have left our homes? That’s right, the Movement Control Order, which was enforced on March 18, 2020, has lasted almost two months, keeping everyone inside. But with the new Conditional Movement Control Order in place, we are starting to see more people returning to the workforce, as stores begin to open as well.
Unfortunately, despite the fact that stores can now do business again, those two months of downtime have clearly left a price on some companies and their products. Recently, A netizen shared a rather ugly discovery of a local shopping center supposedly located in Sabah, after the mall’s employees returned to work after a long period of absence.
Mold had begun to grow on all of its leather goods.
Yes, mold, and not just a small amount. Shoes, bags, belts, were all covered with an uneven and discolored layer of mold, which ruins most of the merchandise.
And to add salt to injuries, most of these products aren’t cheap to buy either.
In fact, a bag with a price tag showing an attractive RM679 was seen.
While it may not be clear at this point what was the real cause behind the overgrowth of mold in these products, many have speculated that moisture may have accumulated in the mall air after the air conditioner was turned off for more than two months, and When combined with poor handling, mold can grow on products.
Anyway, it’s probably time for us all to check our office desks and see if there is mold on our things too. Two months of MCO is really no joke, guys.
