KUALA LUMPUR: The Perak menteri kissing crisis is over, says Barisan Nasional (BN) treasurer Hishammuddin Hussein.

Speaking to reporters after a BN Supreme Council meeting here tonight, the foreign minister said the latest events in Perak “were not discussed in detail today.”

“I think the Perak problem has run its course. You will have to wait and see what comes out of the leadership of each party, ”he told reporters outside the Putra World Trade Center (PWTC).

When asked about BN’s stance on PAS, Hishammuddin said briefly: “You will have to ask our president (Ahmad Zahid Hamidi).”

He added that tonight’s meeting was nothing out of the ordinary, with the topics of discussion being the direction taken by each component party and its preparations for the next general elections (GE15).

MIC President S Vigneswaran responded in a similar way, saying it was just the usual monthly meeting.

“We talk about the current situation, not (about) Perak. Just a normal meeting, ”he said briefly.

Among those attending tonight’s meeting were BN President and Umno President Zahid, Umno Vice President Mahdzir Khalid, BN Secretary General Annuar Musa, and MCA Vice President Dr. Mah Hang Soon.

The Muafakat Nasional Advisory Council will meet tomorrow, according to a tweet from Annuar.

“Negotiations are always better, (and) the presidential council of Perikatan Nasional perhaps should meet as well,” he had said.

“As comrades, (we are) going to solve this in the best possible way. When we are strong together, we win together … Insyaallah (God willing) “.

Perak is yet to have a kiss after the resignation of PPBM vice president Ahmad Faizal Azumu after he was ousted by a vote of confidence in the state assembly last Friday.

Faizal was defeated by 48 votes to 10 and one abstention.
