PETALING JAYA: The Registrar of Companies (RoS) said that the application to register Dr. Mahathir Mohamad’s party, Pejuang, is still incomplete according to the checks carried out yesterday.

RoS told the party to contact him directly to resolve the matter, adding that the Pejuang pro-temporal committee had already been informed of the requirements they had to meet.

He also denied Pejuang’s Secretary General Amiruddin Hamzah’s claim that there was no indication that the party would register more than two months after submitting his application.

He said that he had had several discussions with the party’s pro-temporary committee to verify the application and discuss what they needed to do to complete their registration.

“Exhaustive checks must be carried out on each application, including documentation, especially the party constitution, which is the main reference for a registered organization.

“RoS emphasizes that the party’s pro-temporary committee cannot use any logo, emblem or symbol until the organization is officially registered under the Companies Act of 1966,” it said today in a statement.

Amiruddin yesterday questioned the RoS for failing to register the new party two months after the application was first submitted, saying the party had contacted the registrar seven times and once with Interior Minister Hamzah Zainudin. to get an update on your application.

“Two months without any written response is unreasonable,” he said, adding that this gave the impression that the RoS had become a political tool of the government.
