The presidential council of Pakatan Harapan (PH) is pushing for a vote of no confidence against Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin following Fitch Ratings downgrading Malaysia’s sovereign credit rating.

In a statement, the council said it is crucial to expedite the motion and allow it to be tabled at the current Dewan Rakyat meeting to end speculation about political instability and restore confidence in governance.
