AMD’s Ryzen 5000 series is now in the wild and around the world, and doing very well at the top is none other than the Ryzen 9 5950X. While the CPU reviews are out or still in the middle of publication, the popular HiCookie overclocker has already brought it to the forefront.

According to HiCookie’s HWBot presentation, the overclocker managed to hit a 6.36GHz score on the 5950X, with a voltage overclock of 1.692V to boot. Naturally, HiCookie managed to accomplish this feat by using liquid nitrogen, or LN2 for short. Additionally, it also did so using Corsair’s 16GB DDR4 RAM and a Gigabyte X570 AORUS Master motherboard, a milestone the component maker was more than happy to announce via its official Twitter account.
At those speeds, the highly overclocked 5950X reportedly scored 15517 points in the Cinebench R20 multitrack test; approximately 5,000 points higher than the average 10,100 points that the CPU is capable of, straight out of the box.
On a relative note, we previously reviewed AMD’s Ryzen 9 5900X and found the CPU to be just as beastly when put to work. On another note, our 5950X review and test is currently ongoing, so stay tuned.
