OnePlus 8T Specifications
OnePlus says a lot of work has gone into the look and finish of the OnePlus 8T, weighing in at 188g and having a thickness of 8.4mm designed to improve the smartphone’s hand-feel. The finish on the back of the phone should feel similar to Silk white version of the iconic OnePlus One, and the company promises that the surface should also be fingerprint resistant.
This is also the first smartphone besides the new Google Pixel, which ships with Android 11 out of the box via OxygenOS 11. That makes sense, as its predecessor, the OnePlus 8, has already received the stable operating system update. Recently.
Up front, the OnePlus 8T features a fluid 6.55 ″ display with a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels (402 ppi) and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Also, this is a flat screen and is rated for 1,100 nits maximum brightness, while HDR10 + is also supported. According to the company, the screen is customized to be flexible, resulting in a thinner and lighter screen with wide viewing angles.
If you’re the type of user who relies on your smartphone’s automatic brightness, OnePlus says that new high-precision light sensors and artificial intelligence combine to deliver more accurate brightness levels. Meanwhile, you also get dual stereo speakers that support Dolby Atmos.
And for the players? Fortnite still runs at 90 fps. They have also added improvements to the gameplay on the phone, with a new Fnatic mode that will “overload” your experience. Also, the vapor chamber in the 8T has now been increased by 285 percent (over the OnePlus 8), so the heat dissipation should theoretically improve significantly.
Under the hood, the OnePlus 8T is powered by the Snapdragon 865 processor, coupled with up to 12GB of RAM; you also get fast UFS3.1 storage of up to 256GB. To charge the 4,500 mAh battery, OnePlus includes a Warp Charge 65 charger in the box; This charger also supports Power-Delivery charging speeds of up to 45W.
For photography, you are looking at a 48MP main shooter with a Sony IMX586 sensor, a 16MP ultra-wide angle lens with a 123-degree field of view, a 5MP macro lens, and a 2MP monochrome lens. New to the OnePlus 8T is the new night landscape video feature, which should work similarly to the photographic version of the feature on the phone. And for selfies, you get a 16MP camera housed in a single hole punched in the screen.
A few more things to keep in mind. Yes, of course, 5G is available on the OnePlus 8T. No, there is no 3.5mm headphone jack, which shouldn’t come as a surprise anymore. And yes, WiFi 6 is compatible with the latest flagship smartphone from OnePlus.
