PUTRAJAYA: The National Security Council (NSC) has been asked to adjust its proposal for stricter standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the conditional motion control order, says Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

He said the technical council meeting had put forward some proposals on new SOPs for both areas under conditional OLS, as well as the rest of the country that is under recovery OLS.

“The proposals were presented at the special meeting of the NSC chaired by the Prime Minister, and the meeting has asked the country to update and refine the proposals. This is to ensure that the new standard operating procedures do not confuse or overwhelm people. So, they are updating and they will present it to us in two or three days, ”he said on Tuesday (November 3).

The minister was asked if the government plans to impose stricter standard operating procedures in areas where conditional OLS have been applied.

On Monday, Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the government planned to re-evaluate the SOPs for conditional MCOs for faster and more effective intervention.

The Prime Minister had expressed his concern about the Covid-19 situation in the country during a special meeting of the NSC held to discuss ways to control and manage the pandemic.

Ismail also said that the government had received several proposals to deal with the rise of Covid-19 in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur despite the application of conditional MCO.
