F&B establishments are still required to ensure diners follow standard operating procedures for face masks and register on MySejahtera.

PETALING JAYA: Good news for families dining out at Food & Beverage (F&B) establishments. There is no longer a limit to the number of diners that are allowed to sit at a table, even in areas under the conditional motion control order (CMCO).

Spokesmen for the National Security Council (MKN) and the Defense Ministry have confirmed the matter to the FMT, saying the limit of four people at the table has been lifted.

The MKN spokesperson said diners just need to make sure they consistently practice one meter physical distance at the table.

Standard operating procedures related to registering using the MySejahtera app or entering personal contact details and wearing face masks still apply.

When the CMCO for the Klang Valley was first announced, Putrajaya said that only two diners were allowed per table. He later relaxed the restriction to allow up to four diners per table.

The CMCO for Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Sabah has been extended for another 14 days until December 20, although Malaysians across the country can now travel between districts and interstate as long as they do not enter any zone under the enhanced MCO.
