SEREMBAN (Bernama): The Seremban Forensic Court has been told that no foreign deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) was found in the body of French-Irish teenager Nora Anne Quoirin.

The director of the DNA Forensic Division of the Department of Chemistry, Nor Aidora Saedon, said that the result was based on the evidence provided by the authorities.

Neither Aidora, sixth witness of the investigation to determine the cause of the death of the adolescent, said that the first sample was the swab test taken from one of Nora Anne’s relatives, while the second was from her body, and the Last were the samples taken at the site.

“My job is to analyze the exposure from the crime scene and, to my knowledge, the first report, 19FRB18998, was from the first evidence sent, when Nora Anne had yet been found.

“So you will see some swabs and displays that I was able to get a profile of, labeled ‘Individual One.’

“The third report, 19FRB99139, was when Nora Anne’s body was found and we were able to identify the person in the report as Nora Anne. Also based on my analysis evidence, we couldn’t find any foreign DNA on Nora Anne’s body “he said during his testimony before Coroner Maimoonah Aid here on Tuesday (September 1).

When asked by Maimoonah what he meant by the absence of foreign DNA, Nor Aidora explained: “Any foreign DNA in her body, be it from hyssop, fingernail or hair, that does not belong to Nora Anne.

“As humans we tend to leave our DNA behind, so depending on where the exhibit is taken, you will have a rough idea of ​​who has left the evidence,” he said, adding that DNA is not something you can change.

The investigation will continue until September 4 with a total of 64 witnesses who will be called to testify to assist in the investigation.

Nora Anne, 15, disappeared on August 4 last year, a day after she and her family arrived in Malaysia for a two-week vacation at a resort in Pantai, about 60 kilometers south of Kuala Lumpur. .

Nora Anne’s body was found nine days later, on August 13, near a stream in a mountainous area, about 2.5 km from the complex, after a massive search.

A preliminary post-mortem report revealed that there were no criminal elements in Nora Anne’s death and that the teenager had died of gastrointestinal bleeding, due to prolonged stress and starvation.
