The party’s chairman, Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, said his elected representatives had to analyze the details of the proposals before they could decide how to vote.

“We want to agree but we don’t know what it is (budget content). We sure aren’t going to sign a blank check. We have to know what is in the budget.

“As the budget text is thick and in two languages, we have to read it first,” he told reporters after a meeting with representatives of Langkawi Pejuang at a hotel here last night.

“Tell us what is incomplete. We will comply with the law. If we have broken any part of the law, we will amend it accordingly, ”he said.
