KOTA KINABALU: An NGO here has created a video clip to encourage their fellow Sabahans to come out and vote in the September 26 elections.

Community Empowerment Initiative (CEI) Sabah spokesperson Gayle Jokinin said the four-minute clip “Bangkit Sabah” was also aimed at promoting unity among Sabahans.

“The message is that all Sabaha people come together and vote to determine the future of our next generation,” he said.

He said Acting Chief Minister Shafie Apdal appeared in the video clip as his speech focused on the need for strong ties of unity among Sabahans.

He said the video clip was part of CEI’s goals and was not intended to promote any parties.

“It has definitely resonated with many Sabahans and Malaysians. Many politicians from various parties have shared and republished the video on their social media, ”said Jokinin.
