KUALA LUMPUR (May 15): Naza Italia, official importer and distributor of the Ferrari brand in Malaysia, has launched Ferrari 812 GTS and Ferrari F8 Spider in Malaysia, marking their debut in Southeast Asia.
The 812 GTS hails a triumphant return for a model type that has played a pivotal role in the marque’s history since its foundation. Ferrari’s most powerful production convertible makes its introduction a whole 50 years after the debut of the last spider, sporting a front-mounted V12.
In a statement today, Naza Corporation Holdings Sdn Bhd’s automotive group chief executive officer Datuk Nik Hamdam Nik Hassan said the 812 GTS breathed new life into the range, as the first of its kind in five decades.
“An impressive open-top version of the flagship 812 Superfast, it is a purebred performer that certainly upholds the shining legacy of its predecessors,” he said.
The 812 GTS is available from the base price of RM1,538 million before duties, customization options, taxes and insurance.
On the launch of Ferrari F8 Spider, Nik Hamdam said it bolstered the brand’s mighty fleet of “drop-top” supercars and joins Ferrari Malaysia’s impressive stable of Prancing Horses.
“A competing performer with the brand award-winning V8 engine at its core, the F8 Spider propels into Malaysia, ready to energize the local market,” he said.
The F8 Spider is introduced at the base price of RM1,178 million before duties, customization options, taxes and insurance.
