PETALING JAYA: A video of a man recounting his misery and depression in the workplace has come to light hours after his car crashed into his office and was later killed by a truck.

Earlier today, it was reported that the man, who was recently fired, crashed into a section of his company premises in Perak and threw a Molotov cocktail at the administration office.

He walked out of the building of the US-based technology company, and an hour later he was killed by a truck while crossing the street.

In the video, the man, in his 50s, said he had performed well since joining the company, earning bonuses, raises and other incentives.

This year, he said, his bonus had been delayed and he received no raise or other incentives.

He said he was also accused of having “performance problems” but no evidence of his deficiencies was highlighted.

“If I have a performance problem, you should call me, let me know and we have to fix it,” he was reported as saying in the video.

He claimed that he requested to meet with his superior, but was ignored.

“My life is miserable now. I have sleepless nights, ”he said.

The man says that he had not needed to take any medication for the past 20 years, but was taking numerous medications due to stress.

“Do you know how stressed I am?”

In the video, he repeatedly thanked several colleagues for helping him with his problem.

“Maybe tomorrow it won’t exist anymore, who knows?” she said, almost crying.

The man said the stress was not due to his job, but to “some of the people” he worked with.

“Please investigate my case, treat me fairly, if you think I made a mistake, point it out. I’m very depressed “.

He added that he made two police complaints about what was happening at his workplace and another about alleged racism at the company.

“Thank you so much I miss you guys,” he said at the end of the recording.

FMT has contacted the company for a response and will withhold the company name pending comment.
