KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said on Tuesday (September 1) that 10 essential elements have been identified to achieve the goals of Perikatan Nasional in the coming years, including the placement of the Vision of Shared Prosperity ( WKB) 2030 as the axis of its economic policies and programs.

The Prime Minister said that apart from that, the goals also encompass the approach to be taken to reactivate and boost the post-Covid-19 economy through the National Economic Recovery Plan (Penjana).

“The Perikatan government will also focus on the implementation of the Bumiputera agenda as the national agenda.

“Attention will also be paid to Malaysia’s digitization effort through the implementation of the National Digital Network (Jendela) under the 12th Malaysia Plan,” he said in officiating at the closing of the Perikatan Administration Mid-Year Convention here on Tuesday.

The convention, organized by the National Organization of Intellectuals, was also attended by the Prime Minister’s Special Ambassador to the Middle East, Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang, who is also the president of PAS.

The Prime Minister said the government will also focus on ensuring food security, fighting corruption through the implementation of the National Anti-Corruption Plan, as well as carrying out reforms in the health sector.

In addition, he said that priority will also be given to the education, security and public order sector, and also to racial unity and harmony.

“I assumed the position of Prime Minister with the trust of the people on my shoulders. I am responsible to the people. The ministers I appointed are also responsible to the people. If we do not serve them well, we will be questioned by the people.

“That is why, as soon as it was formed, the Perikatan government went straight to work, day and night, to serve the people. We do not have a honeymoon period to enjoy as a new government,” he said.

However, Muhyiddin said he let people evaluate Perikatan’s performance after six months running the country.

“Yes, I have done everything possible to fulfill my responsibilities to the people, but it is not my right to say that I have done the best for the people. It is the people who have the right to evaluate (my performance),” he said. added.- Bernama
