He said this in his speech in conjunction with the Deepavali celebration that was posted on his official Facebook page on Friday (November 13).
The Prime Minister urged Malaysians of all races to work together to address the difficult challenges facing the country.
“We are currently facing several difficult challenges. Let us work together, united by a resilient spirit and persevere for a brighter future for all,” he said.
He also advised Hindus to celebrate the festival of lights without shaking hands or gathering in large groups and practicing physical distancing.
“The celebration of Deepavali this year is slightly different, as it comes at a time when the country is facing the Covid-19 pandemic.
