“Mr. Queen ”is on the rise!
On December 19, the new fantasy comedy historical drama starring Shin Hye Sun and Kim Jung Hyun continued its upward trend of gaining new viewers with each episode. According to Nielsen Korea, the third episode of “Mr. Queen ”earned a national average rating of 9.0 percent and a high of 11.3 percent, setting a new all-time high for the drama. The show also ranked first in its time slot on all channels, including public broadcast networks (an impressive feat for a cable network drama).
Meanwhile, after setting a new record for the highest viewership ratings ever achieved in OCN history last week, “The Uncanny Counter” held strong on its latest episode. The superhero drama earned a national average rating of 7.7 percent and a peak of 8.4 percent, maintaining its record from its previous broadcast.
JTBC’s “Hush” earned a national average rating of 2.3 percent for its fourth episode, while TV Chosun’s “Goddess of Vengeance” averaged 2.8 percent for the night.
Finally, KBS 2TV’s “Homemade Love Story” remained the most-watched drama of Saturday night, with average national ratings of 24.1 percent and 30.3 percent for its two parts.
