Mohamed Salah’s Liverpool numbers are almost ridiculous

Mohamed Salah was only on the Selhurst Park field for just under 40 minutes.

Anyone who has seen the Egyptian star on a regular basis will know very well that there is more than enough time for it to make its mark.

He struck twice against Crystal Palace and provided an assist.

Salah is a model of sustained brilliance and has been throughout his tenure at Liverpool.

In just 173 appearances with the Reds, Salah has scored a whopping 110 goals. He also won the Premier League, the Champions League, the Club World Cup and the Super Cup in that time as well.

Even amid the downright chaotic and ridiculous year that has been 2020, Salah has matched his impressive production levels.

In the 30 league games Salah has participated in this year, he has scored 23 goals.

Indeed, Salah is the only Premier League player to have scored more times than Bruno Fernandes since the Manchester United star joined the English top flight in January.

Could have scored more

Perhaps the most terrifying thing regarding Salah’s abnormal stat production, is the fact that he should probably have more.

This season, he is currently averaging 3.6 shots per game, according to WhoScored. – only Harry Kane and Patrick Bamford average more.

Had he started and played the full 90 minutes against Crystal Palace, he might as well have scored five or six.

There are no complaints from Liverpool fans about Salah’s contribution this season. He already has 16 goals and 4 assists in 2020/21.

If he can maintain such a devastating reign for his next 20 to 40 games, then he’s certainly a terrifying proposition for the rest of the league.

At this time, there is no evidence that Salah’s performance levels are at risk of declining.
