KUALA LUMPUR, January 1 – RON 95 and RON 97 retail gasoline prices rose four sen / liter each, while the retail price of diesel rose three sen / liter over a one-week period from midnight until January 8.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Finance (MOF), the new retail price of RON 95 petrol is RM 1.84 per liter, while the new RON 97 petrol price is RM 2.14 per liter.
“The retail price of diesel increased from RM1.98 sen per liter to RM2.01 per liter,” according to the statement.
The MOF said the new price was based on the weekly retail price of petroleum products using the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM) formula.
The government would continue to monitor the impact of changes in world crude oil prices and take appropriate measures to ensure that people’s well-being continues to be protected. – Bernama
