PETALING JAYA: Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Dr. Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri recovered from Covid-19 after testing positive on October 5 (Monday).
Zulkifli said he was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday (October 14) afternoon after it was confirmed that he had made a full recovery from Covid-19.
“The Ministry of Health recommended that I prioritize rest at home until the conditional movement control order (MCO) ends,” he said in a statement on Facebook on Wednesday (October 14).
Zulkifli also thanked the Prime Minister, cabinet ministers and ulamas from around the world who prayed for him as he recovered from Covid-19 in recent days.
“Not forgetting the Minister of Health, the Director General of Health and the officials of the Ministry of Health, particularly at the Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital in Seremban,” he said.
He also said that he was told not to visit anyone and that any meeting would have to be done via video conferencing.
“I will continue to monitor the Department of Labor and Religion reports from home, as it is my responsibility.
“Any public announcement will be made through social networks.”
Zulkifli said his first priority is to channel aid to specific groups, particularly those in Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Selangor.
“This is because the conditional MCO has started and aid must be channeled as soon as possible,” he said.
“I pray that Malaysians who are infected with Covid-19 recover quickly and can continue with their lives with beloved family,” he added.
When Zulkifli tested positive on October 5, those who attended a special Covid-19 ministerial meeting at the Prime Minister’s Department on October 3, including cabinet members and department heads, were quarantined. of 14 days.
