Health Minister Dr Adham Baba says he has been issued a home surveillance order until December 18.

PETALING JAYA: Health Minister Dr. Adham Baba is in home quarantine after coming into contact with a media staff who later tested positive for Covid-19.

In a Facebook post, Adham said that he had been given a house surveillance order (HSO) until December 18.

Media staff, he said, had received him in his office on Saturday and tested positive Tuesday after showing symptoms.

“Until the HSO is over, I will be working from home, including online meetings and discussions.

“No one is exempt from complying with the orders issued by the authorities, especially when it comes to efforts to prevent and treat Covid-19,” he said.

Earlier, Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin also underwent home quarantine after chairing a meeting attended by Prime Minister’s Department Minister (Religious Affairs) Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri, who later tested positive for Covid-19.
