Mid Valley Megamall, Gardens Mall Disinfected After Tenant Employee Tested Positive for Covid-19

KUALA LUMPUR: Mid Valley Megamall (MWM) and The Gardens Mall (TGM) are undergoing sanitation and disinfection in all common areas, as well as three outlets after a tenant employee tested positive for Covid-19.

TGM and MVM management confirmed today a positive case of Covid-19 involving an employee of London Sales Cosmetics Sdn Bhd (LSC), the company that operates Origani and Élévatione Time Stops in TGM and Surreal by Élévatione Time Stops in MVM.

The employee informed her management at LSC on October 9 that one of her family members was exposed to the virus.

“She immediately isolated herself through self-quarantine and arrangements were made for her to take the Covid-19 test which was confirmed positive on October 10, 2020. She did not show any symptoms of Covid-19,” TGM said and MVM in declaration.

TGM and MVM management were informed today of the positive test result.

Immediately after the confirmation of the case, the Ministry of Health was informed and the search for contacts began.

“The sanitation and disinfection of the three points of sale under LSC, as well as all the common areas in the two complete shopping centers, are in progress. The three outlets were immediately closed and will remain so until further notice, ”said the shopping centers.

They added: “We would like to assure TGM and MVM customers, tenants and visitors that their health and safety are of the utmost importance. We have implemented precautionary measures to maintain high levels of cleanliness and hygiene as recommended by the government in both shopping centers to ensure everyone’s health and safety.
