KUALA LUMPUR: Measures to restore the country’s credit rating following Fitch Ratings’ decision that revised Malaysia’s credit rating will be raised at today’s Dewan Rakyat session.

According to the Order of the Meeting, the matter will be raised through a question from Lim Guan Eng (PH-Bagan) to the Minister of Finance.

There will also be a question from Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin (PH-Hang Tuah Jaya) to the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovations about the misuse of government funds by MIMOS Berhad, as stated in the recent Auditor’s report General.

Cha Kee Chin (PH-Rasah) in a question to the Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs will ask about the initiatives or schemes of the Malaysian Business Commission (SSM) to help traders and entrepreneurs affected by the Control Order of Movement (MCO).

Cha also wants to know if SSM will provide any assistance to help people with disabilities (PwD), women, youth and students who have just started their business.

During the question and answer session, Datuk Seri Hasan Arifin (BN-Rompin) will ask the Chief Minister and Minister of Industry and International Trade about measures to boost foreign investor confidence and the total number of investments in the manufacturing sector in 2018 and last year.

The session will continue with the debate and finalization of the Supply Bill 2021 at the committee stage for two more ministries, namely the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Higher Education.

The last week of the Dewan Rakyat session will see the second vote on the budget and its third reading before it is approved and taken to the Dewan Negara.Called
