MCO: 205 people arrested for violating SOP on March 5

KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 205 people were arrested yesterday for disobeying the Movement Control Order (MCO) Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), Chief Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said.

Of the total, 193 were composed, nine in preventive detention and three on bail.

“Not wearing face masks recorded 70 cases, not providing proper equipment or check-in at commercial facilities (62 cases), not observing physical distancing (25), activities of entertainment venues (18), crossing districts or states without permission (16) local operating beyond the time allowed or without permission (six), leaving home without valid reason (four) and others (four) ”, said today in a statement about the Conditional MCO (CMCO) and Recovery MCO (RMCO).

In Op Benteng, Ismail Sabri said that 22 illegal immigrants were detained while two boats and six vehicles were seized.

Meanwhile, the government has also decided to end the Enhanced MCO (EMCO) imposed on Central Medicare’s hostel, factory and construction site in Hilir Perak, Perak, as planned tomorrow. -Called
