Liverpool have previously been linked to a move by PSG superstar Kylian Mbappé, but now the rumors seem to have some substance.
Talks about signing the Frenchman to the reigning Premier League champions began when it was confirmed that Nike was the Reds’ new uniform maker.
It started out as an ironic joke among fans at the time, but Mbappé’s comments about Liverpool started to make fans dream.
Now French soccer expert Julien Laurens believes the PSG star has two clear options if he leaves his homeland: the Bernabéu or Anfield.
Speaking to talkSPORT, the journalist said that Mbappe clearly admires Liverpool and would realistically consider signing for the Reds in the future.
“If you ask Mbappé now about Liverpool, he says: ‘wow, it’s amazing what they do. The club is amazing. They have an incredible team ‘” he said.
“Kylian Mbappé’s future is up in the air because PSG will say: ‘Okay, you don’t want to extend your contract, so we’ll sell you next summer.’ There will be two clubs that you will be very interested in.

“Real Madrid is his dream, but Liverpool will be very present in the conversation for him and his family because he is really in awe of what they are doing and what they are building. He spoke on the record about how good they have been.
“I think he used the word ‘machine’. I certainly think he would very much like to play for a club like Liverpool if there was an opportunity there.
“I don’t think it’s just Real Madrid, I think there are also others in Europe who have the same fascination and attraction as Real Madrid, but it seems they are still the club he wants to play for.“
When it comes to a player like Mbappé, if their representatives got in touch with Liverpool, there is no doubt that the Reds would keep the conversation going and see what is possible.
The Frenchman is one of the best players in the world and is a shoe on the Ballon d’Or after the reign of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo is over.
Whether or not Mbappé actually moves to Liverpool is another matter entirely, with Real Madrid cited as his dream club to play.
