KUALA LUMPUR: Maybank branches across the country will remain open until 7pm today to provide customers with greater convenience for payment assistance inquiries and requests.
“Maybank wishes to once again remind its clients affected by the pandemic to contact the Bank immediately if they wish to request Assistance for the payment of their loan / financing.
“The Bank also wishes to clarify that the CCRIS status of borrowers taking the payment assistance will not change,” he said.
Customers who anticipate difficulties meeting their monthly installments after the moratorium can still contact the bank to discuss payment packages that suit their current financial needs.
“However, these clients are encouraged to request payment assistance before their October payment is due to ensure their credit status is maintained,” he added.
In the meantime, the bank continues to offer three easy channels to request payment assistance.
• Apply online through Maybank2u (for individual customers and commercial rental purchase)
• Apply by email to [email protected] (for individual clients) or [email protected] (for SME clients), providing name, contact number, type of loan (for example, mortgage, installment purchase, financing of term loans); Vehicle number (for rental purchase), employment status and reason for the request, or
• Call any of the Maybank branches, SMB centers or auto finance centers (whichever is relevant) across the country.
Maybank also wants to assure those who have requested payment assistance, but have not yet received a response, that their requests are currently being processed and will be informed as soon as possible about their loan repayment for October onward.
