Apple is expected to launch its iPhone 12 series this week and it looks set to arrive in Malaysia soon. Maxis has released what appears to be a sneak peek for the iPhone 12 and hinted that the official pre-order is coming soon.
Without mentioning details, the green telecommunications company has posted an iPhone 12 parody video titled “12 – The speed has come” on its YouTube channel. The video shows “Jim Book” explaining what the new “12” is all about.
The teaser hinted at 4 sizes for the new devices including the smaller 12 Mini, 12, 12 Max and 12 MoreMax variants. The new 12 is also said to come in a dazzling array of new colors.
As previously speculated, the video also mentions that the charger and headphones are not included in the box. He also hinted at various expected features of the iPhone 12, including water resistance and facial identification, as well as LiDAR scanner and night mode for its cameras.
With Maxis kidding around so early, this could be an indication that Malaysians could probably pre-order the iPhone 12 very soon. The previous iPhone 11 was the fastest launch to date, with the devices launching in Malaysia just a week after first wave countries like the US, UK, Australia and Singapore. Since the launch will take place on October 14, we expect pre-orders to begin in the first wave countries on October 16 and the first sale will take place on October 23.
If Apple continues the trend, new iPhone models could hit our market in the last week of October. Everything will be revealed soon and you can watch Apple’s speech live at 1am this Wednesday.
