KOTA KINABALU: Sabah’s Conditional Movement Control Order (MCO) will be relaxed starting at midnight on November 11 (Wednesday).

Sabah Covid 19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said on Tuesday (November 10) that the National Security Council (NSC) accepted the state’s request to allow limited dinners, longer business hours, limited religious activities, weddings, no contact. sports and recreational activities.

Masidi said that prayers will be allowed in mosques, suraus, churches and temples with standard operating procedures (SOPs), adding that marriage ceremonies will be allowed with a maximum of 20 people depending on the space of the venue.

Additionally, all public transportation can operate with a 50% capacity limit until midnight, including buses and electronic services /

Masidi also said that all businesses, including service stations and supermarkets, may be open until 10 p.m. M., While dining will be allowed in restaurants and restaurants as long as it is below 50% capacity at the facilities and markets are allowed. to operate until 2pm every day.

In addition, indoor and outdoor sports and non-contact recreational activities will also be allowed.

Under the SOP, only two people from a household will be allowed in one vehicle, while children and high-risk individuals are advised to stay home.

However, non-essential interdistrict travel is still in effect and areas under an enhanced OLS will not be included in the relaxed conditions.

On the relaxation, Masidi said that the new standard operating procedures were due to the reduction in the number of Covid-19 cases in the state.
