Martin Keown has warned Arsenal about Football Focus that Liverpool will ‘destroy’ them if they are ‘afraid’ of their opponents before Monday night’s game.

But Keown, who would have had its fair share of battles on Merseyside, sent a warning to his former club ahead of today’s visit.

“The way Liverpool play, I mean their coach is of a different class for saying good things about Arteta,” Keown told Football Focus.

“But this is the ultimate challenge. When you play Liverpool and go to Anfield. You have to love it. You have to love it and you cannot fear it because if you do it will destroy you.

“They were very good last week against Chelsea and the way they played in the middle of the week. You saw the guys who weren’t getting any games scoring a lot of goals. The mood is back to what it was before and Klopp will be delighted with that. “
