MIRI: A worrying trend has emerged in Sarawak’s third Covid-19 wave: many new cases show no symptoms and people easily ignore the symptoms of light.

“Such carriers could spread the disease quickly to the public if not detected quickly,” said the State Committee for Disaster Relief Management.

The committee added in its latest update on Sunday (November 8) that Covid-19 is spreading rapidly in public places like restaurants, shopping malls, and coffee shops.

He added that people’s casual attitude to standard operating procedures (SOPs), such as social distancing, wearing face masks, staying away from crowds and stopping social gatherings, should also be blamed.

The committee said the Health Department is conducting active tracking to stop the spread of Covid-19 in Sarawak, adding that the state is seeing a sharp increase in Covid-19 cases, with Kuching and Miri being the most. affected.

Kuching has 125 positive patients while Miri has 25. There have been 19 deaths from Covid-19 in this state so far in recent months.
